盗墓笔记 - 南派三叔 | Daomu Biji | The Lost Tomb - All Media Types

The Zhang family branches reacting to Zhang Rishan x Liang Wan, particularly when Zhang Rishan insists of putting a ring on his relationship with Liang Wan, and training her in some "basic" Zhang self-defense, and then the branches doing exercises/showing off in their tank tops at each other and Zhang Rishan kissing her on her tattoo to draw attention to it and starting drama in the Zhang family, and/or then Zhang Haike or various people finding out Zhang Rishan's qilin blooded, and/or Liang Wan finding out she's pregnant amidst all this. Also, how does Zhang Rishan deal with the Zhang main branch and Hai branch finding out he's qilin blooded?

Zhang Qishan still being alive and showing up would also be cool too, but you don't have to go that route.

Zhang Qiling interacting with Liang Wan (and giving his blessing for the wedding) for the first time since he was her patient in the hospital, and him just shrugging off Zhang Rishan's qilin blood (as already knew, don't care, nor does tianshou) would be great too.

Zhang Haixing x Su Nan would also be great too if you want to go that route, particularly if that's going on while Zhang Haike is getting his pants in a bunch about Zhang Rishan x Liang Wan.

Zhang Qiling x Zhang Qishan either during the Greatest Tomb Robbery in History or even current times and potentially If Zhang Qishan is still alive, Zhang Qishan taking Wu Xie aside and saying how not to fall down the route he went down.

Leader of "IT" x Zhang Qishan or Leader of "IT" & Zhang Qishan would also be very... it can't be anything but toxic, but how does that go over? How does Zhang Rishan being qilin blooded and longlived go over with the Leader of "IT" if he does find out? Or how does Zhang Qishan end up buried the Leader of "IT" there of all places?

DNW: Liu Sang, Yan Sanxing, omegaverse, wingfic unless it's somebody becoming their tattoo.

Crossover Fandom

Shen Wei (Guardian - Priest) & Jinu (KPDH)

This would just be worlds upon worlds of funny. Poor Jinu given that he can probably sense vaguely what Shen Wei is, given that Shen Wei for much of his life, did not have a soul. He is also probably equivalent, if not greater, power levels to Gwi Ma. (In fact, if you want to make Gwi Ma and Gui Mian the same character, that would be a cool take! But they absolutely don't have to be. It would be fun as well if Gwi Ma was another thing like he and Gui Mian lording it over his own pocket dimension where human-turned-demons started ending up) But Shen Wei was also maintaining his own version of the Honmoon basically all on his own for 5,000 years. And uhh, Jinu is was a human, so he's not a youchu/Ghost Tribe Member, but Shen Wei might have feelings about him behaving like a youchu/Ghost Tribe Member.

And if you set it post the end of Guardian, his souls now - Jinu would probably absolutely not dare touch them (although lmao if he does). Those cannot feel like normal souls.

Feel free to add Guo Changcheng as well if this is post-Guardian canon. Like how might Shen Wei respond if someone tugged on one of Guo Changcheng's souls, because mmm, bright souls, but particularly in his role as... ya know. Would Shen Wei feel it in his own souls? Would he panic about the possibility of being returned to being without them? Would he be returned to being without them temporarily?

Also, feel free to add Zhao Yunlan, but if Jinu touches those souls, I'm not sure Shen Wei would wait for a reason before using his soul severing dao on Jinu and reclaiming Zhao Yunlan's souls, but Jinu could be going after Zhao Yunlan because Zhao Yunlan sure does look interesting to Jinu's hungry eyes.

DNW: No drama Guardian. This should really be novel Guardian based.

Zhao Yunlan (Guardian - Priest) & Rumi (KPDH)

Zhao Yunlan would feel very weird to Rumi. He might not have patterns exactly, but he definitely has something visual she can see indicating that he is not entirely human. Also, his own relationship with Houtu's Seal. And he can absolutely see the Honmoon flashing.

This can be whenever in either verse too. Is he on a trip to South Korea through his university? And at one point sees a demon trying to eat someone's soul and quickly dispatches it. Is she on tour and one of the cities Huntri/x visits is Longcheng in China? Up to you!

DNW: No drama Guardian. This should really be novel Guardian based.

Shen Wei (Guardian - Priest) & Gwi Ma (KPDH)
This is just poor Gwi Ma.

Potential prompts: Maybe 400 years ago, maybe when Houtu's Seal weakened, Gwi Ma got out, and Shen Wei just went, don't have time for this (while trying to put the other youchu/Ghost Tribe Members away again), and he put out a temporary Seal, and then when he got back to deal with it, three women were already dealing with it with music and people's souls all being piggybacked on to power this seal, and it seemed reasonably permanent. He watches while generation after generation get to repower what they are calling the Honmoon.

Zhao Yunlan (Guardian - Priest) & Lyra Silvertongue Belacqua (His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman)

Zhao Yunlan and Lyra interacting. Could go any way you like! Even them just comparing experiences with their respective world's of the dead and how destiny work in both universes.

Shen Wei (Guardian - Priest) & Will Parry (His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman)

Shen Wei potentially teaching Will Parry how to cut through worlds without releasing spectres/youchu into the world. And yes, that would make Shen Wei a spectre who has a god's tendons and a god's soul hanging around his throat that he is not eating.

Zhao Yunlan (Guardian - Priest) & Zhang Qiling (DMBJ Series - AMT)

Several potential ideas any of which would be cool or do your own thing!

The Mountain in the West greets the Mountain in the East. - but there are differences between being the literal reincarnation of Kunlun-shan and being... possessed by duties from Changbai-shan.
Add on idea: can Zhao Yunlan help make it so it's less possession by tianshou and more Xiaoge-as-Zhang Qiling's decision?
Zhang Qiling could also be the reincarnation, we don't know. In which case, can Zhao Yunlan help Xiaoge wake up completely so it doesn't keep resetting his memories.
Oops, Zhao Yunlan may have been one of the entities calling on Xiaoge to do duties. In fairness, he didn't realize someone was on the receiving end of his to do list exactly.

DNW: Wu Xie and Shen Wei looking exactly like one another being a central plot point. I don't mind if they look like each other. I just don't want it to be the center of the plot or be a thing you have to tie up.

Shen Wei (Guardian - Priest) & Hei Xiazi (DMBJ Series - AMT)

Potential prompts:

Hei Xiazi shows up at the SIU because he wants to make sure he is taken care of after what is eating him finishes eating him. He wants to make sure he won't be another tomb monster lurking the night (to potentially burden either Xie Yuchen ("Xiao Hua'er"), Zhang Qiling ("Yaba Zhang"), or Zhang Rishan ("Zhang Fu Guan"). Shen Wei decides to help him combat whatever it is before it gets to that point, because he has either seen something like this before, knows what it is, or suspects what it is.
Xie Yuchen comes to drop Hei Xiazi off at the SIU, saying "fix him."
What is up with Xiazi can be whatever you want! Is it Ghost Tribe energy eating him? Is it he is actually a youchu who did something so he could live as a human but now it's wearing off/it only had a limited amount of time it would work and he lacks the ability to refresh it, and he just doesn't want to hurt anyone he holds dear. Is he a normal ghost possessing someone or reanimating his own body and that really doesn't work that well after a while? Up to you!

DNW: No drama-Guardian. Please leave it so Shen Wei is at least 5,000 years old, and please no police sending Dixingren back if you go a merge between Guardian drama and novel.

Fei Du (The Light in the Night - Priest) & Xie Yuchen (DMBJ Series - AMT)

Fuerdai (except not really useless) vs fuerdai (except not useless). Do they recognize that about each other? Do they wonder what conspiracy the other is involved in and investigate it to: in Fei Du's case make sure Xie Yuchen isn't involved in either Murder Club or Revenge Cult and in Xie Yuchen's case, to make sure Fei Du isn't like a Wang clan member or trying to get into the Nine Gates or trying to find immortality/longevity?

Fei Du (The Light in the Night - Priest)/Xie Yuchen (DMBJ Series - AMT)

Like the above, except somehow they sleep together. Can be end game/AU or not. Can be poly. Can be pre-Mo Du current day canon. Could be during the DMBJ time between Tibetan Sea Flower and Shi Nian when Hei Xiazi and Xie Yuchen couldn't be together or risk Wang family knowing they were exchanging info.

Thank you for writing for me! Whichever of the fandoms we matched on, yay, fandom friend!

Generally, I tend to be more focused on plot and theme than straight-up romance, but I certainly don't mind sex or romance. (For romance and sex, I am into weird powerplays or into people being stalker for stalker for each other. I'm into romance that moves at a rather slowburn pace or where these two idiots have spent forever together and are only now figuring out they might have feelings for each other, or when so much has happened to these characters in the course of a couple days that they fast tracked relationship building.)

I tend to love politics and have figured out that if you just add the words "systemic change," chances are I will be into it. Alternatively, the world involves so much politics and systemic change already that something soft is in order, still set in the backdrop of that world.

For this, I want it to focus on any of the following four characters and them doing their things.
Joseph Fouche
Gilbert Romme
Joseph Lakanal
Jean-Paul Marat
For Joseph Fouche, Gilbert Romme and Joseph Lakanal, I would prefer it be set in 1793-1794 (though you could have it be equally split between the French Revolution and the fall of the Directory for Fouche. For Marat, you could have it set whenever. It can be shippy or gen! I'm fine with either!

Joseph Fouche is a very interesting figure - on one hand, he came up with equality bread to ensure that everyone got nutrition, and he loved his wife a lot and later on his kids, and he was a brilliant spymaster and brilliant at being Minster of the Interior. On the other, he did the Massacre of Lyon, he was one of the orchestraters of Thermidor. He was also on the far-left of the Revolution, was spying on and I think genuinely support Babeuf and the Conspiracy of Equals, still believed in a Republic under Napoleon and told Napoleon as much, and then believed in France enough to oversee negotiations of what came after Napoleon alongside Talleyrand. He is just an interesting figure, and I would love to get some of those contradictions, and maybe him setting up what was to become his spy network.
Romme was the one who softened equality bread to make it more tolerable and more likely to be accepted. He was also the one that came up with the Calendar (though not the names for the days) and part of the metric system.
Lakanal was on education and trying to figure out how state-led education was going to work.

Their Committee meetings must have involved so little sleep and so much bitching at each other!

Marat. What can I say about Marat? The man put out an eight page journal every day that he somehow could make accurate accusations of corruption in. Nobody knows how his informant network worked, including people who set off to prove he wasn't that special, he just had a good informant network. He was also theorizing years ahead of his time.

I would prefer whatever you do at least mention the politics they were all working on during this time period. If you'd like, JP Gross's Fair Shares for All: Jacobin Egalitarianism in Practice goes into the politics.

The Stars My Destination - Alfred Bester (novel)
I'm requesting world building for this fandom. If you want, do any of the characters you like, but doesn't have to involve any of the characters! I just want some aspects of this world explored further:

maybe you are into the body horror of the Mr. Presteigns.
maybe you are into the demonstration of conspicuous consumption that is how Presteign gets downtown from Central Park, NYC
maybe the sheer nerve of Presteign building that mansion of his in Central Park
maybe it is how technology advanced in some areas but didn't in others, e.g. there not being an easy way to remove tattoos (or could that just have been Jiz being cheap)
or cover what Dagenheim's relationships look like given he is radioactive
or how other jaunters in classes like Robin Wednesday's lost their abilities
or even, what do vacations and day-to-day life of working and middle classes look like

Or something else. Entirely up to you!

Tai Sui - Priest (novel)
The Blind Wolf King x Xi Zhengde X Cui Jinjin relationship is introduced rather late in the book, but still became one of the potential ships that stood out for me. I'd love to see more of them!
This could go either into canon-divergence either pre-the main story or at some point during the main story.

What would have happened if Xi Zhengde and Cui Jinjin had taken up the Blind Wolf King's offer? Could baby Zhou Ying have made it along with them? How would that have gone? What would the repercussions of that have looked like?
Or maybe at some point during the novel, they started talking with the Blind Wolf King again.

Shennong's Bowl, Snake Fourth Uncle and The Magistrate all have a rather interesting relationship with Shen Wei in the novel, namely they know what he is and have watched him grow over the year and but also make mistakes. At least two of them know something about Shen Wei's promise, maybe all three.
What did they think of him at various points?

Potential optional prompt: what did they think of the Shen San incident? Did Wei demand/order/beg any of them to find a way to kill him, as just being around him had been enough to kill Kunlun's reincarnation? Did one of them have to comfort him or show him that Kunlun's incarnation was still reincarnating?
Alternatively, did Shennong's Bowl decided to make an ill-advised comment?

Or did Wei find a broken bowl in Shennong's encampment with an inkling of consciousness and decided to help it cultivate?

So this involves a bit of an explanation!

I want Zhang Rishan alive present day (for the Sha Hai Zhang Rishan/Liang Wan ones) and yet I still want Zhang Rishan to have qilin blood as he very obviously does in the Mystic Nine book. There are several directions this could go and I am fine with any of them:

I want him there for some of the book events that Zhang Da Foye (Zhang Qishan) at least must had been was involved in, but entirely up to you how much he was there for. But potentially him meeting with the leader of "it," who must have been kept unaware that Zhang Rishan was also qilin blooded. (This could be used for humor, aka the leader of "it" just having been told about qilin blood or even just Zhang family longevity and asking in the car if Zhang Rishan believes it, to the leader of "it" potentially finding out and the fall-out from that)
The third category is, given both book events and description and Sha Hai show events and descriptions, how does everyone react to finding out about Liang Wan and that she is now dating and potential marrying Zhang Rishan, current head of the qiongqi branch of the Zhang family and still one of the few qilin blooded Zhangs. Does Zhang Haike (who is longlived but not qilin blooded flip out? Does Zhang Haike even know about Zhang Rishan's qilin blood? Is there potentially one of Zhang Haike's Zhang family get togethers where Rishan and Liang Wan show up at?
potential other category Zhang Da Foye still being alive somehow (up to you how). Zhang Da Foye interacting with people now that he's out. Aka Zhang Rishan/Liang Wan winning his stamp of approval. (potentially with Zhang Haike being like "look, Zhang Qishan approves, Zhang Qiling, Patriarch, that alone is reason not too." And Zhang Qiling being like "I approve")

A-Ning/Su Nan - given that Wu Xie observes that Su Nan reminds him of someone and that someone is very heavily implied to be A-Ning, she was raised to be like A-Ning from when she was small. It would sure be interesting if A-Ning met Su Nan, either before canon, or if you were mad at A-Ning's death, please bring her back to life somehow and have her be alive at Sha Hai times.

Hei Xiazi & Qi Yu - god this must fuck up Hei Xiazi so much. He must have known Qi Yu for at least a couple years there. How did he know him? Does it have an effect on Hei Xiazi's thoughts on Qi Yu's look-alike/write-alike (aka Wu Xie), particularly the first time he met him, or when he first learned of Wu Sanxing's plans for Wu Xie?
Qi Tiezui & Qi Yu - how did these two get along? Did they ever meet? How were they even related?
Zhang Rishan & Qi Yu - same. Did these two ever meet? If so, what does Zhang Rishan think of Wu Sanxing's nephew now bearing Qi Yu's face?
A-Ning & Su Nan - so Su Nan was clearly, by heavy implication, supposed to look like A-Ning to get close to Wu Xie and had been being raised to be close to Wu Xie for going on 30 years. Was A-Ning aware of this? Did they ever meet? What if A-Ning didn't die? How would they get on?
Zhang Qiling/Zhang Qishan - please give me their meeting. Zhang Qishan canon likes people who can kick his ass, and Zhang Qiling can absolutely kick his ass. That and the payoff of the Search for Zhang Qiling which had been going on for some ten years. Zhang Qishan absolutely had a crush. (Plus, when Zhang Qishan turns on the charm, he is dimpley, blushy, and trying to protect everyone - aka his statement of "you would do the same for me" to Erye when he pulls him up in the show when actually Erye would not necessarily do the same thing - and these are things that Zhang Qiling might be into when they are displayed at him). That through the Mystic Nine's promise, probably on Zhang Qishan's prompting, to absolutely go behind the Bronze Gate. And then, what went horrifically horrifically wrong? We never find out exactly what it was that led to their fight. Up to you. - But please keep the sex consentual for both of them (there's already so much about what happened after their fight that was not)
Zhang Rishan & the Leader of "It" - so if Zhang Rishan was around, Zhang Qishan sure straight up lied to the leader of "It". How did they hide Zhang Rishan's qilin blood from the Leader of "It?" Were there any close calls? Potential AU: what could have happened if the Leader of "It" found out about Zhang Rishan's qilin blood, namely that Zhang Qishan had a qilin blooded longlived person right under the Leader of "It's" nose during the years the was looking for Zhang Qiling (presumably he told the Leader of "It" something something immortality to have government funding!)
Zhang Qishan & the Leader of "It" - what was their work together like? I can't imagine Zhang Qishan was very happy or very cooperative any chance he could get, especially when he was trying to play the Wangs and "It" off each other for long enough for the Mystic Nine to establish themselves safely!

Zhang Xueliang (Shao Shuai | Young Marshal, Warlord in charge of the Northeast of China before agreeing to work with Chiang Kai-Shek, for the short time between when his father was killed by the Kwantong Army in 1928 and the Japanese takeover of Manchuria in 1931) & Zhang Qishan (Daomu Biji) - given that in Daomu Biji the Zhang family main branch and Zhang Qishan's branch are both from the same area that Old Marshal and then Young Marshal were in charge of, in Daomu Biji verse, is Zhang Xueliang from that family too, or is he not but he knows about them? Did he and Zhang Qishan grow up together in the armies?
Zhang Qishan (Daomu Biji) & Lin Nansheng (The Rebel) - poor Lin Nansheng gets sent to Changsha at some point (possibly after Chen Moqun leaves) to look into Zhang Qishan, because somebody (Lu Xianjun probably) has raised a possibility that Zhang Qishan is using KMT resources in an untracable way that could be Communist. Lin Nansheng intends on finding out what Zhang Qishan is using KMT resources on. He stumbles across the Mystic Nine and the tombraiding. Probably, knowing Lin Nansheng, in the worst way possible.

Daomu Biji/The Grave Robber's Chronicles by Nan Pai Sanshu/Xu Lei

So first let me explain why this is here: in the books, Xiaoge Zhang Qiling is subject to a lot, including being kidnapped and put in a coffin to be taken out and showed off to the Zhang Family as proof that a body from an 1000-year-old coffin managed to transfer its consciousness to the body of a baby. Of course, that didn't work - therefore, Xiaoge had to be brough in - but for a while, they managed to fool the Zhang Family into thinking that Xiaoge was that baby and he was worshipped as that baby. That on top off being made Zhang Qiling and worshipped as Zhang Qiling by the Zhang Family. Plus, everything that went on on his mother's side. Each of the people he's being shipped with here know about that little bit of his back story.

Zhang Qiling/Zhang Haike - Zhang Haike, as a Zhang who was a child at the time, might have bought into some of the 1000-year-old coffin belief, and certainly buys into the Zhang Qiling worship enough that he's trying to bring people over to leave gifts at Zhang Qiling's household's doorstep. How does that go over the years? What happens between when they left each other when they were 15 and 13 respectively and the current day in their relationship?
Zhang Qiling/Wu Xie - after Wu Xie finds out about all that happened in Zhang Qiling's childhood and after he gets him back from the Bronze Gate. Does it affect their relationship at all? Does Wu Xie ever tell Zhang Qiling all the stuff he's found out about him and how does Zhang Qiling react?
Zhang Qiling/Wu Xie/Pangzi - after Wu Xie and Pangzi find out about that and after they get him back from the Bronze Gate

(Also, not requesting this formally, but another idea might be either glimpses of or full on later on in their relationship, after Foye becomes "someone who started out as a good man doing good things and then became a good man doing questionable things and then became a questionable man doing evil things" (and he is still such a man who weeps after every least bad thing among a sea of even worse things), and Zhang Rishan being the character who has to watch his loved ones making all those hard decisions and understanding them but my god does Foye did not have to make them.)

Pangzi x Zhang Rishan or Pangzi & Zhang Rishan: Pangzi seems to launch a very concerted "make this Zhang smile" campaign on Zhang Rishan, and Zhang Rishan grins like he hasn't grinned since, well, Foye and Baye were around and he was much, much younger. Would love more exploration of their relationship and future meetings after they meet each other that first time and a continuation of the "make this Zhang smile" campaign, including possibly potential Pangzi nicknames for him.

Thank you so much for writing for me! Below are my do not wants, my likes for DMBJ universe, and a few prompt ideas, though I'll be happy with anything you write me:

DNW: either of them dying permanently, A/B/O, either of them being full animal or mythical beast

Likes: just about everything else, can include sex pollen, pon far, mpreg, adoption, blood-drinking, Zhang family having some more inhuman aspects among the more qilin blooded Zhangs, reclaiming of names (aka Zhang Qiling is a title and Xiaoge wants a name), politics, secret/unknown Zhang family members discovering they are Zhang abd of stronger qilin blood than they thought, use of immortality pills, etc

Prompt idea 1: Xiaoge decides to propose to Wu Xie. Thing is: the Zhang Family System still technically has rules on its book against marrying out. Xiaoge thinks its' beyond time for that to change. Bonus: Wu Xie is still oblivious. Bonus 2: the Zhang family agrees, but only if he courts him properly. And the Zhang family has still not updated their idea of what courting properly consists of. Bonus 3: the Zhang family says sure, if xyz. Xyz can be if you get marriage equality in this country; if you get us the Zhang family main branch land in the northeast as a self-governing region. Etc, but something where Xiaoge has to consult everyone more knowledgeable about politics and/or social interactions to get it. Or going to get another qilin blood tab.

Prompt idea 2: Xiaoge quits being Zhang Qiling to spend his retirement with Wu Xie and Pangzi. Cue a bunch of gangly Zhang teens showing up on their downstep as the Zhang family tries to select a new Zhang Qiling/the kids want to hear tips and tricks he learned. Xiaoge has to train the next generation of Zhang Qiling.

Prompt 3: they search for a way to get rid of Xiaoge's Zhang family amnesia

Prompt 4: the Wu family adopted Li Cu as the next generation of their family, and have put pressure of Wu Xie to at least mentor him if not father him. How does a freshly out of the Bronze Gate Xiaoge regard Wu Xie's newly adopted heir? How does Li Cu regard Xiaoge, the man whom he saw Wu Xie full on mourning and longing for?

Prompt 5: Li Cu, upon seeing Wu Xie and Xiaoge interact, goes to Pangzi and asks about their relationship. He and Pangzi decide that they've absolutely got to get Wu Xie and Xiaoge together.

Prompt 6: what happens next time Xiaoge is called upon to go behind the Bronze Gate?

Marat, known for predicting things very accurately and being right almost all the time, must have been astute enough to see something of Fouche's personality and future. Maximilien Robespierre/Joseph Fouché (French Revolution RPF) - all the sad angst! Fouche in Arras and then years later when they drift apart. Or does Fouche try and help Robespierre, smuggling him out of Paris on 10 Thermidor and supply him papers. Does he try to get Robespierre not to give his speech on 9 Thermidor denouncing him before having to go and do what he did? Does he try to get it so Robespierre was only removed for power but then safely alive somewhere in the country? Or does he decide, since Robespierre tried to denounce him less than a month after Fouche's first born baby died, that he was going to bring him down for ignoring his earlier friend's loss?

In terms of reforms, it makes sense that he wants Psi Corps to have greater autonomy so it can put in place systems more like what Ivanova and Garibaldi would be more satisfied with than the way the current Psi Corps is run - what if in Psi Corps he is actually fairly outspoken for telepath rights (and for Blips to get protections and greater freedoms) and what if Ivanova and or Garbaldi found out about this

Lao Jiu Men | Old Nine Gates | The Mystic Nine

Cox Hendry & Zhāng Rìshān (Old Nine Gates) - this was originally separate (and I didn't put it together in time) bc what I technically want takes place in the main DMBJ series. It is mentioned Qiu Dekao | Hendry Cox doesn't die until book 8 of the main series, when he dies offscreen, which put his death after Foye, Wu Laoguo, Xiao Jiuye, Chen Pi, etc and possibly Baye. How does Zhang Rishan deal with him still being alive after all the others who remember the Old Nine Gates have died? You can do anything. Hate sex, Zhang Rishan determining that Qiu Dekao is dead now that everyone to stop him from killing him is gone, the two of them meeting up to exchange jibes and much to each other's horror spending the meeting reminiscing about old times? Could be anything.

Prompt #1: novel-verse

So I am a super big fan of the novel. Below are some prompts to give an idea what I like about the novel/what I would love to see more of, but feel free to come up with your own idea.

I love the brief glimpses we get of Gui Mian's characterization and would love to see that fleshed out further, both in terms of his relationship with Shen Wei and how he considers them equals and brothers, in terms of how he severely injures Nuwa (how powerful is he!!!), in terms of how he alone out of all the characters has a giant axe like Pangu, and in terms of how if Shen Wei can have thoughts on his Ghost Tribe nature Gui Mian can too and given that he doesn't reject it what does he think about it and about it being the reason he and the rest of the Ghost Tribe are sealed off from the world because of it.

I love Shen Wei's character arc in the book. Just about anything to do with his journey from the three corpses of greed/possessiveness, hatred (and self-hatred) and ignorance to telling Zhao Yunlan the truth of what he promised to do with the Giant Seal and asking him to die with him and then to deciding he cannot ask that. (And how he thinks that any display at all of selfishness is bad and denies himself the one thing he longs for over and over again).

Zhao Yunlan's mom seems a lot more wise than Zhao Yunlan gives her credit for. Does she know more about what Zhao Yunlan does at work and possibly what's going on either with her husband or with Zhao Yunlan than she lets on? Where does she fall on the sliding scale of knowledge? Is she totally aware of what he does for a living, that he can see and talk to ghosts, that Da Qing can talk and has opinions? Given that what do she think when she meets Shen Wei? Does she wonder if he knows and has the ability to protect himself? Is she aware that he might not be human?

Always love some Shen San and his yao-xiong, or anything with a previous incarnation Zhao Yunlan (if you want to write a Lost Tomb crossover where Zhao Yunlan's past incarnation was a tomb raider and potentially a past generation of that whole thing, that would be awesome, particularly if past incarnation Zhao Yunlan tried to potentially tomb raid on Mt. Kunlun, a mountain no one alive can get up but an incarnation of Zhao Yunlan)

The judge and the Ten Yan Kings and Diyu - just more interactions of Shen Wei with them and of what the judge thinks of the overall plan and what he thinks at the end scene when the Yan Kings still think they have the upper hand with Zhao Yunlan.

Prompt #3: drama-verse

Please read list. You don't have to include all of these, but I'd love it if you did, particularly the first two:

One aspects that makes me nope out hard is the choice on the showrunner's part to replace the literal canned three evils from the novel with immigration/refugees issues. Because that just doesn't make me feel very good. The thing is, if it wasn't a Guardian adaptation or if they replaced other characters than the ghosts and ghost tribe, i would be all over it. Like have it be the Yashou who are the immigrant/refugee issues characters. - So I guess this DNW is please no connecting the Dixingren with immigrant/refugee issues, even as much as the drama does.

Another aspect is please find a political reason for Ye Zun to do what he does. Maybe he and a few others had been put into the pillar in utter darkness to starve by deliberate agreement of everyone, and they kept it from Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan. Maybe he was put in there previously with rebel leader dude and the others and holy heck does he not want to go back and thinks really no one should be locked up in there.

Give Zhao Yunlan some aspect of inhumanity back and have him discover it partway through. Maybe he's part Dixingren and wouldn't have had a power-awakening except then Ye Zun aims all that Dixingren energy at him and suddenly power-awakening.

Give Shen Wei and Ye Zun something that Shen Wei is keeping from all the Haixingren and most Dixingren too. Possibly he and Ye Zun were something else entirely that has a similar enough power set to Dixingren that they were able to fake being Dixingren.

The Lost Boys

I’d really like something where the hunger does not go away for a not-yet-blood-drinking vampire kills the head of the vampire clan, and Michael and Star (and Sam if you’d like on the human side of things) have to deal with that.

Totally up to you whether the vampires other than David and his father are somehow not dead yet, but preferably not trying to tempt Michael and/or Star as actively as they did under David’s direction.

Do not want: anything strictly from the newer movie

Vampire Chronicles

I’d love something about how Armand was in Paris for the century of revolutions, and Louis, who has read a lot of books about the French Revolution, and Napoleon, Louis XVIII, and 1832, wants to know what it was like being in Paris then. Armand does tend to throw himself at new ideologies.

Do not want: Armand as a Royalist (Bourbonist or Orleanist) or Bonapartist.

His Dark Materials

I love Lord Asriel and Marisa Coulter beyond all description! And anything you write that involves these two being the forces of personality they are would be awesome.

Wants/prompt idea: They must have occasionally bumped into each other between when Lyra was born and the start of the Golden Compass. How did these meetings go? Were they snarky towards each other? Towards the rest of the world?

Glorious Hemlock Grove and its messed up world! I loved this show. I hits all of my buttons like a good massage. I does vampires/upir just the way I like them, and the werewolf transformations are freaking beautiful. But goodness did it have Problems.
